Assets for Artists’ matched savings program is an innovative support model that helps artists strengthen their creative practice and grow its long-term sustainability. Since 2008, Assets for Artists has served over 250 artists across the Northeast. Artists who enroll in the program benefit from the following:
A “matched savings” grant that serves as working capital to be invested in the artist’s creative business. Participants are provided with mini-grants to match their savings progress, and the combined amount is used by the artist toward implementing their career plan.
Free professional development services, including workshops on financial management and career planning.
Free one-on-one coaching in the development of the artist’s career plan.
We offer our matched savings program in locations where we can partner with local arts & development organizations to help fund and promote the services. To date, we have run the matched savings program in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York City, and Portland, Maine. Application timing varies for each location.
Be sure to join our email list to hear about future opportunities in other locations.
