Assets for Artists has two new faces in our office — and two new voices on our blog! In an incredible stroke of college-town fortune, we’ve landed two academic interns for the spring semester. Samantha Bedell and Patrick Engle are both Arts Management students at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. They’ll be working with us from now through May, and much of our blog activity during that time will be thanks to them.
Here’s a little bit about our excellent new team members:
Samantha Bedell is a junior at MCLA, where she is majoring in Arts Management. Sam earned her Associate’s Degree in Individual Studies with a concentration in Art and Gallery Management from Hudson Valley Community College. In her free time, Sam enjoys macro and landscape photography, working with digital media, and traveling through the national parks. During her time with us, Sam will be the force (and voice) behind most of our Artist Spotlights, Graduation posts, and Opportunity posts.
Patrick Engle is a native of Pittsfield, MA and is currently a senior at MCLA. Patrick is a Fine Arts major with a minor in Arts Management. His art work at MCLA has been focused primarily on illustration and graphic design. Patrick’s goal is to build a portfolio geared towards commercial art. He is also interested in continuing his education in the arts management field with hopes of working for a museum someday. In his spare time Patrick enjoys sports, music, and video games. Patrick will be a jack-of-all-trades with Assets for Artists, lending support in particular to our residency program, The Studios at MASS MoCA.
