Tiffany Adams is a ceramic artist and the creative force behind La Mar Ceramic Studio. Tiffany’s ceramic sculptures are organic in form and primarily inspired by nature, particularly her love of the ocean. Her most recent work is directly inspired by the coral reef and her fascination with the sea. Tiffany uses vivid glazes with a raku finish to mimic the aged patina of coral and other underwater objects. Her pieces are often cylindrical in form, referencing the movement and growth of ocean-floor flora and fauna.
Tiffany studied ceramics at the Universidad de los Andes (ULA) in Merida, Venezuela. In 1998, Tiffany moved to Rhode Island where she furthered her education at Rhode Island College and Rhode Island School of Design. Her artworks have been featured in exhibition venues across New England, including The Warwick Museum of Art, Attleboro Arts Museum, Newport Art Museum, Deblois Gallery and Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, RI, the Narragansett Art Festival, the Wickford Art Festival, the Chazan Gallery in Providence, and Artspace in Hartford, CT. Her work has been published in Art New England Magazine and American Art Collector.
An active member of her local arts community, Tiffany is member of the Wickford Art Association, South County Art Association, Pawtucket Arts Collaborative, Portsmouth Art Guild, the Newport Art Museum, and the Art League of Rhode Island.
