Today we bid Eleanor Cook a fond farewell. After 11 months of sharing her considerable talents (not to mention 40+ hours of her life each week!) with Assets for Artists, Eleanor is setting out to pursue new opportunities in Chicago.
Since her arrival last September, Eleanor has wowed us with her dedication, perspicacity, and unflagging enthusiasm for the A4A mission. We’re a small team, and Eleanor has been an indispensable force behind all of A4A’s activities this past year: new enrollments, outreach, trainings, grant-writing, program design, and social media. Just as importantly, Eleanor’s lovely presence — cheerful and thoughtful in equal measure — has brightened our office and endeared her to the whole of the MASS MoCA community.
On top of her work with Assets for Artists, Eleanor has given countless hours to general MASS MoCA duties: Performing Arts events, museum tours and Info Desk, and installation support to a number of artists now on view in the galleries. If you’ve visited recently, you’ll have seen Eleanor’s picture in the press materials for Teresita Fernández’ As Above, So Below. (The elegant figure in black on the giant parking lot banner? That’s Eleanor.) We’re kinda proud.
Chicago is lucky to get you, Eleanor! You’ll be missed.
