Assets for Artists is an innovative and fast-growing program that aims to strengthen the financial capacity of working artists. Based at the world-class Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, we have since 2008 provided low-income artists with a powerful combination of capital and financial and business education to help them build personal wealth and succeed as entrepreneurs.
To better understand how artists are benefitting today and how we can improve our services to them in the future, we’re recruiting creative entrepreneurs in Portland, Maine to share some financial information that will help us evaluate the economic impact of our work.
If you’re a “low-income” artist in any discipline living in Portland, Maine, you might be eligible to participate in our evaluation control group. In exchange for some financial data (which should take less than 20 minutes to gather), we offer a $100 stipend. Your information will be kept strictly confidential and will be used for our evaluation purposes only. Please note that participation in the study will NOT prevent you from enrolling in the Assets for Artists program in the future.
Portland, Maine artists who would like to discuss their eligibility for the study should contact Briana Halpin by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Only a few slots are available and will be granted first-come first-serve, so don’t wait! Please share this information with other artists who might be eligible to help us strengthen the Assets for Artists program in the future.
