We are thrilled to announce the graduation of two Massachusetts A4A grantees who enrolled in 2012: Linda Germain and Cheri Pafumi. Both artists reached their savings goals and wrote comprehensive business plans in less than a year’s time — no small feat! Learn more about Cheri and Linda below:
Linda Germain is a gelatin printmaker and teacher out of Haverhill, MA. Her printmaking workshops provide training in this unique medium to crafters (both novice and experienced) who seek new forms of expression. In addition to workshops, Linda offers online tutorials in gelatin printmaking through her website and YouTube channel. Her goal is to empower each student to develop their own voice and mastery of the medium. Linda’s business plan revolves around her desire to share her expertise in this small yet growing craft market.
Cheri Pafumi is a painter, designer, and owner of “Cheri Amour.” Her one-of-a-kind designs range from brightly colored paintings to handmade wallets. Based in Pittsfield, MA, Cheri aims to grow her business through internet sales, participation in craft fairs, partnership with local businesses, and by increasing her output. She has recently teamed up with her sister to create “Sailor Sisters,” and a new line of products under that name. Keep up with their Facebook, blog, and Etsy for upcoming news!
