My blog, Asset Almanac, was stone-cold. I hadn’t written a new post in a year. I couldn’t seem to find the time.
Enter CFED, a Washington DC-based
healer leader in the asset-building field. They just let me know that my vision to expand the Assets for Artists program into a national resource for low-income artists has been named an “Innovative Idea” and will soon be featured on the innovation@cfed platform and at the national Assets Learning Conference in September.
So it seemed time to come out of my extended blogging hibernation, and I decided to take this opportunity to re-christen the blog with a focus on posts related to Assets for Artists (if it’s such an innovative idea, it deserves its own blog, right). Perhaps the narrower focus will allow me to keep some momentum with the blog and also make it clearer to regular readers (when I get some regular readers back) and casual visitors alike what they can look for from my posts.
As I shake off my winter sleep, look for more updates on the present and future of Assets for Artists, and thoughts on what else I observe happening in the artist services and asset-building fields.
