We love our hometown…
and we think you will too! North Adams, Massachusetts is a hip little city at the feet of Mount Greylock, the highest peak in the state. With abundant natural beauty and outdoor recreation, some amazingly affordable homes and studio space, and a bustling creative community (which will continue to heat up with the completion of MASS MoCA’s expansion in 2017), North Adams may be the perfect place for you to put down roots and grow your artistic practice.
So once again, we’re putting out the welcome mat for creatives eager to call North Adams home. MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program is now seeking applicants for the third round of our North Adams Project, an initiative to support artists committed to building their creative practice in North Adams. Assets for Artists is offering incentives and special programming for selected artists who relocate to North Adams before the end of 2016.
Artists who relocate can benefit from artist-focused training, match money for investments in their creative enterprises, free MASS MoCA membership, and more.

Assets for Artists is a professional development program for creative entrepreneurs. Our goal is to equip artists with the tools to sustain the creative work they love throughout a lifetime. Our projects include a matched savings program (which helps artists develop a business plan and raise the seed capital to fund it), free financial and business training workshops for artists in all disciplines, creative place-making programs in several communities, and a newly launched residency at our home base – the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, MA.
